For this little capture I took my Nikon D70S firmly in both hands. I carefully removed the lens cap, and with the 18-50mm lens set on manual focus I set the f-stop at something appropriate – I know it was appropriate because of the results. I flared my nostrils, held my breath and held my tongue just so, scrunching up my face in a generally north-westerly direction, trying hard not to let my forehead reflect the sunlight onto the subject.
The subject did its part, sitting there, mostly quiet, in front of me, being supremely green and being very good at it. At one point in the shoot someone realized it was hot and spritzed it with cool water – which explains the sexy, sweaty droplets.
After the shoot, all I did was increase the saturation a smidge. Honest. Everything else is just as the camera saw it. I don’t know how the plant did, but it took me a month to recover from this shoot.
Now I’m looking around again for another leafy-green thing to expose.
Here’s one of my favey blogs.
