A critic might say this picture is busy and cluttered, that there’s just too much going on. An enthusiast, on the other hand, might see it a little differently.
They might see the angles in the main members of the bridge as they forge into the distance. They might see a bright, obtrusive Sun, casting fascinating, almost eery light and shadows. They might see that same Sun almost, but not quite, taking over the entire image. They might see all the different elements at play – earth, wind, and fire, vegetation and the hand of man.
They might see all this and say it’s too busy, or they might see how natural it is that all these things should fit together, and appreciate the possibilities in silent co-existence.
I tend to the latter. How about you?
