One of the stunning mountains of the Kananaskis Mountain Range.
I was all alone on the highway at 7am on that freshest of April mornings when this very impressive elevation loomed large before me. I was immediately struck by the light of the Sun on its heavily snow-covered slopes, and I pulled over, checked traffic, and got the picture.
This was one of the last photos I took before my three-year-old Canon Powershot SX10 gave up the ghost. I had it set at its maximum capability for these photos – perhaps I just overworked the poor dear!
